Frans-Willem Deliën – Founder and Director – Chairman
After a career in financial services, Frans-Willem has guided people, teams, and organizations through change processes since 2007 through his organization FWD. For structural change in which people want to make different choices, the greatest change must take place in the change of the person or the heart of the organization itself. The Source from which all action originates.
It is a deeply felt desire of Frans-Willem for people and organizations to once again feel part of one large, coherent whole. He inspires and guides people to above all take their own place, to create their own path, to be fully grounded and connected in Love, Gratitude, and Joy, and to act from there.
Together with Marinus Behrens, Frans-Willem developed the ‘Pilgrimage in a Day’ in July 2021. This pilgrimage, set in the immediate surroundings of the River Waal, offers people the opportunity to walk through the floodplains toward their inner values.
Encouraged by the exceptionally positive reactions and experiences, Frans-Willem set out to explore the River Rhine from its source to its mouth. Since June 2023, he has been exploring this together with Jeanne Specht Grijp to investigate whether they could develop multi-day pilgrimages that give people the opportunity to truly get moving on a personal level.
Their shared personal desire and the potential of Feed the Source to contribute to the leap in consciousness led to the establishment of the Feed the Source Foundation on December 13, 2023. On that same day, the already developed Pilgrimage in a Day was donated to the Feed the Source Foundation by Frans-Willem and Marinus free of charge.
Frans-Willem is the chairman of the board and, together with Jeanne, is also responsible for exploring, developing, and guiding one- and multi-day pilgrimages along the River Rhine.
Jeanne Specht Grijp – Founder and Director – Treasurer/Secretary
It is a deeply felt desire of Jeanne's to contribute, both personally and in her role as founder of LifeTree BV, Stichting LifeTree Fund, and Stichting LifeTree Locations, to a livable and viable society for current and future generations.
Inspired by the Ubuntu philosophy and the Earth Charter, her focus lies on the interconnected themes of nutrition, health, and education, based on trust in the natural restorative and healing capacity. Everything Jeanne does stems from the connected world in which we live and is reflected in her holistic approach.
Since early June 2023, Jeanne has become directly involved in the developments of Feed the Source. In September and October 2023, she accompanied Frans-Willem on two exploratory and preparatory trips to Switzerland regarding the establishment of the Pilgrimage to the Source and the Pilgrimage for Pure Water. During this period, discussions began between Frans-Willem and Jeanne regarding how to further shape Feed the Source as an organization to realize its mission.
This led to Jeanne and Frans-Willem founding the Feed the Source Foundation on December 13, 2023. As directors of this foundation, they have jointly pledged to do everything in their power to create a sound organizational and financial basis for the Feed the Source Foundation over the next three to five years for the long term. This will enable them, together with a passionate team and committed partners, to further develop the philosophy and give shape to its activities.
Jeanne is the treasurer/secretary of the board and, together with Frans-Willem, is also responsible for exploring, developing, and guiding one- and multi-day pilgrimages along the River Rhine.
Marinus Behrens – designer
Unconsciously, Marinus has been deeply and soulfully connected to water his entire life. He grew up in the Betuwe on the Waal. His connection to the Source became very clear to him in retrospect, after he wrote a poem in Portugal in 2019 as a loving expression for the water and what it means to him. Water is a great story. In his view, the importance of water goes far beyond it being one of the essential parts of life. Water carries answers to many life questions.
In his stories and experiences with water, a deep-seated desire is palpable to dedicate himself to the Source through the Feed the Source Foundation, to contribute with Love, Gratitude, and Joy, and to act from this place. Marinus works through his organization, Subtiel Design. He does this drawing on his talent, experience, and expertise as an all-round DTP specialist. He gives soulful form to all communications, resources, and products for the foundation, thereby inspiring and enthusing people, organizations, and initiatives. In this way, he contributes to the visibility of Feed the Source by designing the corporate identity, the logo, symbols, the website, all printed materials, presentations, and products.
Together with Frans-Willem, Marinus developed the ‘Pilgrimage in a Day’ in July 2021. On 13 December 2023, the founding date of the foundation, this already developed ‘Pilgrimage in a Day’ was contributed free of charge by Frans-Willem and Marinus to the Feed the Source Foundation.
